Somerset Youth embark on their 2017/18 campaign with a home tie in the FA County Youth Cup against Northamptonshire.

The match will be played at Frome Town FC on Saturday 30 September with a 3.00 pm kick-off. Admission is free.

The team had a warm-up game against Bristol Rovers Youth back in August and in the last week they completed their preparations with a friendly against the Royal Navy at RNAS, Yeovilton.

Manager, Graham Clarke, reflected on this match when he spoke with www.somersetfa.com earlier. He said, “I was really pleased by the manner in which we tackled this test. The Royal Navy had their U21 side out and we competed very well throughout the ninety minutes. Somerset acquitted themselves well; only losing out to a last minute winner in a five goal encounter played in an excellent spirit.”
